This is one in an excellent series of books depicting the various plant and animal source of food and fibers that come from plants and animals. As an early reader book, the content is short but fairly accurate. Each page has one to five sentences. Unlike the next book on the list, this book depicts both bucket and modern collection of sap. It does a very complete description from tree to consumer. The book ends with a glossary, recipe, and recommended Internet sites.
