While this book focuses on wild horses, it provides many facts about horse characteristics and behaviors that are valuable. Excellent photos of wild horses, including a mare giving birth and stallions fighting, enhance the book. The book ends with a section on wild horse issues. While this section of the book is very limited, it would provide the opportunity to begin a dialog about damage wild horses can do to fragile environments and competition with native species.
