Thank you! Your donation means a great deal to us, our teachers, volunteers, students, and families. Included are just a few stories of individuals your generosity has affected this year. We hope you enjoy reading them!

Thank you again for being a part of our community and understanding the importance of agricultural literacy. We would not be able to do what we do without you!

In the last year your donations have helped:

1500 visitors learn more about poultry in Chesterfield County. A new interactive “Poultry Photo Op” trivia board, funded by the Chesterfield Farm Bureau and the American Farm Bureau Foundation’s White-Reinhardt Grant, enhanced this experience by engaging nearly 1,500 visitors with trivia questions about poultry industry facts, chicken development, and by-products.

400 High School students learn about careers in Holmes County at a Life Skills Camp and Career Fair. Students were asked to rank their average knowledge of the topics presented. Before the event, students averaged a rank of 2.62 out of 5. After the event it was 4.22 out of 5. Students also shared comments such as “I am going to push myself to work harder” and “I am going to look for an internship or a college to attend in this area”.

Spotlight on Ag Readers Program connected 1,273 students with agribusiness professionals across West Michigan. Funding from the American Farm Bureau Foundation’s White-Reinhardt Grant, which provided funding for book purchases, made it possible for every participating classroom to receive a copy of the selected book.

A volunteer in Marion County, IL visited 28 – 2nd grade classrooms presenting with Machinery Magic - “I have been teaching Ag in the Classroom in Marion County since 2005 and I have never seen kids SO EXCITED.”

Your donations also support scholarships to the National Ag in the Classroom Conference here’s what some scholar recipients had to say:

“During my time at the National Ag in the Classroom Conference, I gained a wealth of knowledge. . . I’m really looking forward to being able to share this experience and newfound knowledge with other teachers at my school.”  ~ Genavieve Oliveira

“Attending the National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference was an incredible experience, and I am so thankful for the opportunity. This was by far the best professional development opportunity that I have participated in. I walked away feeling inspired, determined, and grateful.” ~ Kelli Rau

Your donations are investing in future farmers, teachers, and scientists!
