Celebrating Volunteers: Sarah Wilson

Sarah Wilson of North Dakota is a prime example of the great ag literacy volunteers we have across the country!

Volunteer 3976760 1920

Sarah Wilson of Wilson Farm in North Dakota is an outstanding volunteer in her community. She is always willing to volunteer in her community and at the James River Valley Library System in Jamestown, ND as often as she can.

Sarah and her 3 children created a “From Farm to Table Storytime” program at the James River Valley Library System. She brought in crop samples, talked about how things we use every day come from the farm, explains how food gets from farm to table, read stories about farming, sang songs AND even gave everyone a goodie bag to take home with products and information on farming! Sarah is busy taking care of her family and the farm, yet always finds time to volunteer and educate others about farming.

Thank you Sarah for spreading ag literacy in your community!

Do you know someone in your community who deserves to be recognized for their ag literacy efforts? We are always looking for volunteers to recognize through our Volunteer Recognition Program! We depend on our large network of volunteers to spread the story of agriculture, so we cannot do what we do without the hard work of volunteers. To nominate someone visit: http://www.agfoundation.org/projects/volunteer-recognition
