At Home Learning Nov. 2
Healthy eating is important for people of all ages!
Welcome to our At Home Learning Page! We will do our best to offer weekly ideas for at home learning about agriculture! These activities will all be free to access and share. Our weekly activities do not build on each other, but are individual and can be done in any order.
This week we are discussing the importance of healthy eating!
Play the My American Farm game "Load the Lunchbox!" In this game for Pre-K through Kindergarten learners, help Farmer Luis harvest nutritious food to fill the lunchboxes of the kids in Healthy Hollow!
Find a read aloud version of one of our favorite books, "How Did That Get in My Lunchbox?" Or if you have your own copy, read it yourself!
Knowing the food groups is key to healthy eating. In this puzzle activity, learners match food with their correct food groups and learn about the nutrients they provide!
Looking for a snack? Ants on a log is a classic healthy snack your kids can make themselves! Have a nut allergy, or just want to mix it up? Check out these fun alternatives like celery, guacamole, and beans!
