Welcome to our At Home Learning Page! We will do our best to offer weekly ideas for at home learning about agriculture! These activities will all be free to access and share. Our weekly activities do not build on each other, but are individual and can be done in any order.

This week it's Turkey Time! We are featuring some lessons and activities all about our Thanksgiving favorites. Note: next week's blog will come out on Tuesday.

Let's start with the turkey! Check out this craft activity and letter from a real turkey farmer!

Pecans! Do you say PEA-CAN or PUH-CON? Take a survey and make a chart! Might we suggest a pie chart? Then watch this video to see how they grow!

Cranberries! Stump a grownup. Ask them – How do cranberries grow? If they say "in water" you will be ready with the real answer! Watch this video from Go Teamer Jackie to find out how cranberries really grow! And BONUS why they float.

Sweet potatoes! Speaking of trivia, another fun fact to share is the difference between sweet potatoes and yams. Read the truth here.

They also have some sweet potato lessons.

Bonus: Watch author Lisl H. Detlefsen read her book "Time for Cranberries" in a cranberry bog!
