At Home Learning March 1

This week's At Home Learning lessons are sweet!

Welcome to our At Home Learning Page! We will do our best to offer weekly ideas for at home learning about agriculture! These activities will all be free to access and share. Our weekly activities do not build on each other, but are individual and can be done in any order.

This week we are looking at desserts!

A fun science experiment turned dessert is rock candy!

Learn about soil in a tasty way! Make some edible dirt!

Where DOES sugar come from anyway? One answer may surprise you - sugar beets! Watch this video to see how they are harvested.

Still got a sweet tooth? Read "Maple Sugar From the Sugarhouse" aloud with this teacher! Write a few sentences to summarize how maple syrup is made.

Make an edible garden planter box and listen to Seed Soil Sun then do this worksheet about parts of the plant we eat.

Research nutrition using a kid friendly search engine such as Kiddle and make a sweet, but healthy, granola bar with this Purple Plow Puzzler!
