Eagle Awards
Two Eagle Awards are presented each year. One is presented to the state Farm Bureau with the highest total contributions (state Farm Bureau, county Farm Bureaus, state or county affiliates and members). The second Eagle Award is presented to the state with the highest average per membership contribution (total above divided by membership). These awards are based on donations received January 1 – December 31 of each year and are presented at the AFBF Annual Meeting the following January.

SEATTLE, January 11, 2010 – Nebraska Farm Bureau and Alaska Farm Bureau received Eagle Awards from the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture for outstanding financial support.
The awards were presented during the organization’s Flapjack Fundraiser, a pancake breakfast at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s 91st annual meeting.
Nebraska Farm Bureau was recognized for making the highest total contribution to the foundation in 2009 from fundraisers, personal donations by members, and donations by county Farm Bureaus or the state organization. The award was accepted on behalf of the state by Keith Olsen, NFB president.
Alaska Farm Bureau was honored for achieving the highest average contribution per member. AFB President Bryce Wrigley accepted the award.
“We are thankful for the generosity of the Nebraska and Alaska Farm Bureaus, and all those who contributed to the Foundation during 2009,” said AFBF President Bob Stallman. “Their donations allow us to continue our efforts to boost agriculture’s image through public awareness and education.”
