The Foundation was incepted in November 1967 as a Foundation focused on agricultural research and education. In the beginning the Foundation focused primarily on research for advancing agricultural mechanization and technology. With that goal accomplished and the vast increase in cost to complete research the focus on education was strengthened, and is currently the life blood of the Foundation.
