Apex and Scholar AwardsAgriculture in a Growing World
Daniel Beck of Powell County High School in Montana won the 2012 Agriculture in a Growing World Essay Contest sponsored by Nutrients for Life. As part of Daniel’s prize he was invited to the American Farm Bureau’s Annual meeting. Daniel was also recognized at the Foundation’s Flapjack Fundraiser on January 12th. Below is a video about Daniel’s winning essay.
2012 Apex Award QualifiersThe Apex Award is given to states that have increased their total donations by 10%.
2012 Scholar Award WinnersThe Scholar Award is given to 6 states – one from each member group – and is awarded to the state Farm Bureau with the highest total donations in that member group. State Farm Bureaus receiving the Scholar Award are: Alabama, Delaware, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia and South Dakota. The Scholar Award is given to the six state Farm Bureaus with the highest total donations within their membership groups. The Scholar Award is a “traveling” award.
2012 Award of ExcellenceThe Award of Excellence is presented to a state Farm Bureau when all of the county Farm Bureaus in that state qualify for a County Leader Award. This is a special engraved award that varies from year to year. Delaware Farm Bureau received the Award of Excellence. To qualify for this award, a state Farm Bureau and all of the county Farm Bureaus within the state must donate to the Foundation. Delaware Farm Bureau President Gary Warren accepted the award. |
